Greens candidate says Greens plan for Hazelwood “highly simplistic” | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog

The Greens split on their crazily irresponsible policy to shut Hazelwood, responsible for a quarter of Victoria’s electricity:

A GREENS candidate in the Latrobe Valley has launched an attack on the party’s Melbourne-based MPs, accusing them of proposing ‘’highly simplistic’’ climate policies ...

Cheryl Wragg, a former Labor member and former adviser to the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union, is running for the Greens in the upper house seat of Eastern Victoria. She said a plan to close and replace the Hazelwood coal power plant by 2014 crafted by Greens MP Greg Barber was not part of the party’s platform…

Ms Wragg, who calls herself an ‘’industrial Green’’, suggested that Mr Barber’s stance was pitched at inner-city voters and did not reflect the views of people in central Gippsland....Read more

Gillard still trying to flog a dead (carbon) horse?

Does the Australian Prime minister expect bill paying Australians to believe the totally unrealistic, untruthful and deceitful rubbish that she is saying
about a "Carbon Price"

This attempted money grab by this disintegrating collection of left wing master propagandists is so pathetic that even rusted on labor voters are starting
to question why they should be caught in a continual spiral of energy hikes and telling us that more dramatic rises are in the pipeline caused by very bad
government policy.

Carbon price means a carbon tax simple as that, why deceive people into believing it is some magic formulae for solving a problem that doesn't exist.

Nature has and always will find its own way of balancing, has done so for billions of years and without a tax on pat of the air that is necessary for life.
The carbon religion that has evolved in recent times is nothing more than a wealth plundering and distribution scam by the worlds money movers and shakers, they have been somewhat successful how else could millions of people be duped into believing a draconian tax on carbon is going to change nature.

Fortunately, more individuals are questioning the credibility of this gigantic hoax as politicians run for cover as folks seek the truth.
Strong and Gore should be ashamed of themselves. However, they won't be not as long as the smell of ill gotten billions remain on the horizon ready to be redirected to themselves and cronies on the gravy train.

The only thing that will stop this assault on people's wealth will be the ballot box and politicians with guts, foresight and honesty. Not the corrupted ones with negotiable pockets that seem to be breeding at this point in Australia's political landscape. Hypocrites swanning around the world producing the very stuff they are against to be seen and heard at the next carbon talkfest.
Australia needs more politicians like Cory Bernadi a quality straight talking right to the point individual. Cory we need you.

It used to be work hard and be rewarded, now those rewarded are those who work out new ways to pilfer those poor fools who do.

““When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion–when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing–when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favours and approvals–when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you–when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice–you may know that your society is doomed.””

Inconvenient hurricane facts

Dr. Roger Pielke Jr. had this great set of factoids up on his blog, and I just can’t resist sharing. He writes:

Adam Lea, of University College London, shares these interesting hurricane factoids related the the remarkable dearth of US hurricane landfalls in recent years. His comments are reproduced here with his permission:

As the 2010 hurricane season (with 10 hurricanes) starts to wind down I thought I would share a few statistics on how unusual this season has been historically for its lack of US hurricane landfalls:

1. Since 1900 there is no precedent of an Atlantic hurricane season with 10 or more hurricanes where none has struck the US as a hurricane. The five previous seasons with 10 or more hurricanes each had at least two hurricane strikes on the US.

Cancel all your European travel and vacation plans – carbon trading extortion is here

Benny Peiser of the GWPF alerts us to the translation of the article in the German magazine Handelsblatt

By Thomas Ludwig

Foreign airlines are threatened with a flight and landing ban from 2012 in the European Union if they do not participate in emissions trading.

The ban is proposed in an internal document by the EU Commission seen by Handelsblatt. Summarised on nine pages, the guidelines describe how such a ban could be implement. The Commission considers a flight and landing ban as a last resort to make the airlines surrender over its Emissions Trading Scheme......Read full article

Be prepared or be sorry

The Carbon Sense Coalition today called for an end to wasteful spending on attempts to change the climate by taxing and rationing carbon.

The Chairman of “Carbon Sense”, Mr Viv Forbes, said that man will never control climate.

“Noah did not blame cooking fires for the flood – he built a boat before the rain came”.

Forbes explained:

“It’s time to stop wasting money trying to control the climate – this will be no more successful than slaughtering sacrificial goats, even if tax payers and electricity consumers are to be the goats.

“Man will never control the climate. Wealthy societies can and do improve their local environments of air, land and water. But to think that trading carbon credits, taxing carbon, or subsidising carbon geo-sequestration, wind towers or ethanol production will improve our climate is delusionary…”

Carbon Price Means Carbon tax

The Carbon Sense Coalition today called for an end to deceptive advertising regarding Global Warming Policies.

The Chairman of “Carbon Sense”, Mr Viv Forbes, said that those calling for a “Price on Carbon” should speak the truth and call it a “Tax on the Production of Carbon Dioxide”.

“Similarly the CPRS (Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme) had nothing to do with pollution but everything to do with imposing taxes and rationing on economic activity.”

Forbes explained:

“The new green mantra chants: “We need a price on carbon”.

“Carbon is the most useful substance on earth and there is already a price on every product containing carbon – coal and oil, bread and butter, beef and bacon, oil and ethanol, beer and whisky, coffee and tea, cotton and wool, diesel and fire wood, methane and carbon dioxide, petrol and rubber - all are carbon products with an established market price.....Read Full Article

Climate Fools Day

Today, 27th October 2010, is Climate Fools Day.

For the last 20 years politicians, jet-setting bureaucrats and vested interests have been plotting how to make Climate Fools of the western world, taxing industry and consumers to fund green schemes, carbon speculators and international wealth redistribution.

The fightback by sceptical scientists and public was greatly boosted on the first Climate Fools Day when, in October 2008, British politicians passed with little dissent “The Climate Change Bill” a piece of legislation that future generations will come to accept was “the most absurd Bill that this Parliament has ever had to examine”.....Read Full Article

Risky Windfall: Prince Charles To Profit From His Green Energy Campaign | The SPPI Blog

Source: UK Mail
by Martin Delgado and Christopher Leake,

The Royal Family have secured a lucrative deal that will earn them tens of millions of pounds from the massive expansion of offshore windfarms. They will net up to £37.5?million extra income every year from the drive for green energy because the seabed within Britain’s territorial waters is owned by the Crown Estate.

Under new measures announced by Chancellor George Osborne last week, the Royals will soon get 15 per cent of the profits from the Estate’s £6?billion property portfolio, rather than the existing Civil List arrangement..... Read full article

The tangled web they weave as they practice to deceive children on climate.

There are dozens of sites, possibly hundreds, that are pushing out information and grounds for alarm to children and young people in and around our climate. The variability of this climate poses problems, not least from the inevitable 'extreme values' that must occur from time to time in any particular characteristic subject to this variability, such as temperature or rainfall. But these sites are not so much about climate as about 'blame' and political action, often using frightening images or language to engage with their targets and persuade them to hassle their parents, to change their lifestyles, and generally be scared witless about the future......Read full article
